When I Give Thanks - Prayer

When I give thanks to you on this Thanksgiving day;

I pray my life has already shown.

That I'm right by your side, thankful you provide:

Cause you are my home away from home.

You've led thus far, like the bright morning star.

You're the comfort I've leaned on all these years;

I'm not sure where I'd be, but sad as could be;

Without you t'would be a lifetime of tears.

I'm thankful  it's true, cause you are my glue;

You've been my friend when I had no friend.

You loved me when no love was there for me.

You've been here for me again and again.

You  are my Father in heaven above;

You are the joy of my salvation.

I'm thankful, so thankful  for your true  love.

Holy Spirit of my soul's habitation.

When I give thanks to you on this Thanksgiving day;

I thank-you for your Son, your only Son.

Who provided the bread of eternal life;

Thank-you for the grace of all your provision.

Each year we come together as family;

To thank you Lord ,for blessings, not a few.

Let us learn to love you more, our Father;

Thank-you for everything, thank-you for you.
